We appreciate your interest in our 2016-breeding/2017 kidding program. There is 39 years of serious breeding and culling behind our herd to reach the level of quality you see today. We have been continually upgrading our herd to what we feel are superior animals of both type and production. Animals of our breeding have consistently placed GCH, BOB, BUB, BUIS, BDIS, BBIS, and have won production awards at local, State, and National levels. 8 does of our breeding have made it to top ten listing for breed leader.
Our herd has been on continual D.H.I.R. test since 1984 through 2013. Currently we are not on DHIR test as no supervisor is available. Animals of our breeding have attended 15 National Shows and continued to place in the top 10 of their classes. Our herd has been Appraised 12 times and HES Evaluated once. In 1994 we had the honor of having our doe, GCH MEYER’S CAJUN CLEOPATRA 1*M named Reserve National Champion and Best Udder Lamancha. We also had the First place Dairy herd at that show. In 1995 GCH MEYER’S HCLK SUNNY TIARA 3*M won the honor of Reserve National Champion. Our herd was also named Premiere Breeder and Exhibitor for the Lamancha breed and Runner-Up Premiere Exhibitor for the entire National Show!!!! We have also bred 8 breed leaders. 2005 was a very good year at the National Show for use. We took 23 animals to exhibit. Of the 23 we took 19 made the cut and of the 19 that made the cut 15 stayed in the top 10! We also had 2 Third Place Udders! Highlights for 2006 were 2 animals making it into the top ten for milk, butterfat and protein! we also had our herd appraised and 5 animals scored 90 and 2 scored 91! In 2007 we attended the National Show in Gillette, Wy taking 20 head to show. Of the 20 we brought 18 made the cut. Of the 18 that made the cut, 14 stayed in the top 11 placings! This was by far the most competitive Lamancha show we have ever seen at the Nationals!!
2015 SAW OUR HERD ONCE AGAIN ATTENDING A NATIONAL SHOW IN REDMOND OREGON. WE TOOK 15 HEAD OF THE 15 HEAD 12 MADE THE CUT. OF THE 12 THAT MADE THE CUT 7 WERE IN THE TOP TEN PLACINGS!
